I have Long QT Syndrome (LQTS) and Asthma. I need a rescue inhaler, is there one that is safe to use?
-
I have LQTS Type 2, I take a beta blocker and have never had symptoms. I was recently diagnosed with asthma and I need a rescue inhaler. I am seeing a specialist next week. I was wondering if anyone else with asthma and LQTS has a rescue inhaler and if so, what kind?

Answer:
There really aren't meant options for rescue inhalers, period. The standard is albuterol. A "close cousin", Xopenex seems to have less effect on the heart. Good luck.
