How can music affect your heart rate?

Music!! does it affect your heart rate?

  • i am doing a science fair project for school. my question is Does music affect your heart rate? and i wanted to know what other people thought. So do you think that music has an affect on your heart rate? you can just give a simple answer, or you can also give a reason why. i just want your opinion! Thanks!!

  • Answer:

Yes, - it can, but that's not an answer that is going to get you many marks in an exam, -is it? You don't want to ask the queer animals that live on "Answers" for the answer to your question, -you need to find out by research and EVIDENCE. Get a monitor. Play different music to yourself and record the readings. Do the same with your friends, Blues, Bop, hard rock and (dare I say it,?) sublime music like Mozart, Beethoven., and Brahms..... See what the Halleluya Chorus to soothe the writhing soul that's just been subjected to 7 minutes of diarrhorea, head-banging ordure from the nearest Pop station... Record it, analyse it, and come to a scientific conclusion....

My opinion is that music can influence your heart rate.Music is probably the best cardiac medicine around. Now, do your testing like "Tich" suggested because you have a good project.
