What happen after stroke?

My grandma just had a stroke, what is going to happen?

  • My grandma is 70 i believe but in ok condition. She is overweight and has weak joints and such but she is healthy enough to function and live a normal life mroe or less. She has been sick fro the passed few days. She was throwing up and having severe diarhea for six hours yesterday at home. She had trouble opening her left hand, as it was stiffened shut into a claw like shape. Sometimes she just seemed mentally "out-of-it". For example, when my grandpa asked her to give him her left hand to take a bracelt off, she put up her right hand. Mentally she is fit, i mean she is old and a lil bit eccentric, and somtimes mspronounces words (this has been going on for the passed few years), but she is more then mentally fit to function. She is intelligent and has excellent memory and logic. (for example she is GREAT at wheel of fortune and jeopardy. I wasnt there when she was sick or when this happened, i heard from a phone call. I researched strokes and i only fear that she got to the hospital too late, as she is exhibiting some symptoms. Does anyone know f it is possible if she is having an (allergic) reaction to antibiotcs that she has recently taken. I dont know what the antibiotics are specifically but still, any answer would help.

  • Answer:

Most people do recover from stroke, at least partially.
