I have high blood pressure. Why do my ears feel clogged when I get upset?
-
So I take medice for high blood pressure. Sometimes when I get upset, I feel my ears starting to feel like they do when you are on a plane. Also I get a little throbbing sensation ( Not a headache) that is not severe but its enough for me to notice it. After I take a few deep breaths and sit down and relax, it goes away. Even when I think of something at a serious level (concentration) this also occurs. What can I do?

Answer:
The carotid arteries are right next to the inner ear. When you get upset, or when blood pressure increases, the arteries expand and the expansion can put slight pressure on the ear.
