How can buy best blood pressure monitor?

Where to go to take my blood pressure... or good brand to buy a monitor?

I had a biometrics exam last week, where my bp was really high. The nurse advised me to continue monitoring my bp and if its still high then to see a doctor. I don't own a bp monitor, and I just stopped by walgreens to see if they had a machine there I could use... but found nothing. Anyone know a store that has a bp monitor machine I could use for free to check, or would it be better to just invest into owning my own? I checked ebay and amazon and bp monitors are a bit expensive! So... anyone own a bp monitor that can recommend a good and inexpensive one? By the way... I am located in central california.
