Can high heart rate cause false reading on electronic blood pressure machines?

• I started lifting at the gym yesterday and also today and today I took my blood pressure which is normally 125/70 range with a heart rate of 55-60, and it is now 140/80 with a heart rate of 85. Is this normal? Is it because my body needs to get used to exercising? Also, I read somewhere that a high heart rate can cause blood pressure machines to give a false high blood pressure?   No, it can't.The readings (even on cheap models and on Walmart) are extremely accurate, and pretty well foolproof. What is inaccurate is the conventional understanding of "blood pressure". The two pressures are (1) diastolic and (2) pulse pressure. If you call diastolic PD and pulse pressure PP then they are linked by a fairly simple algebraic equation to the heart rate HR. It's called the Doubtfire Equation and can be seen on Google. Using the readings from your monitor (or any other) you can calculate the readings your instrument will give on any other occasion, providing you have one previous set of readings to begin with. Clearly, any such reading, which you can predict, cannot possible to be"false" when it comes up. And of course, -it always does. Why? Because it must. The mathematics of it show this to be the case. As to what you read somewhere, I can assure you that it's total nonsense.
