What is the best way to diagnose Superior Mesenteric Artery (SMA) Syndrome?

• A few months ago, my G.I. doc told me that there is a good possibility that I have SMA syndrome. Since then I have had numerous tests done: CT scans, x-rays, upper g.i.'s, endoscopy's, colonoscopy's and a CTA, which have shown SMA syndrome. However, since it is such a rare disease the doc is hesitant about making the diagnosis & just keeps ordering more & more tests. The problem now though is that the radiologists will not run any more tess on me because they fear it will cause me to become sterile! I've been going trough this for a little over a year now & they already found so many other problems: IBS, Endometriosis, gastroenteritis, gastritis, a calculus cholistisitis, etc.. etc.. I have all the symptoms of SMA & multiple tests show that I have SMA syndrome!! What can I do to get the doctor to make this diagnosis one way or the other? If I do have it, I want to start treatment or have surgery immediately because having all these problems at once is extremely painful & difficult to deal with. I cant walk or move sometimes, I fall constantly, I've even started blacking out! I've lost tons of weight, I cant eat more then a couple of bites, I can't sleep or even lay down comfortably, my stomach swells to the point where I look pregnant!! Dose anyone else have this, I've researched it but I want to hear someone else's experience with this. What can I do and what will happen after the diagnosis? Please HELP, any info is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
