Is being very obese due to Dercums disease considered a handicap?

Is high cholesterol considered a form of heart disease?

  • They say heart disease is not just having a heart attack or a stroke. That is just the endpoint of heart disease (i.e. what happens if heart disease is not treated in time). I have been reading that heart disease can and does include atherosclerosis/arteriosclerosis. Isn't a high LDL cholesterol and high triglycerides an indicator of arterio/athero sclerosis? Even if not, I still want to know if high LDL is considered a form of heart disease.
