What is the calculated risk assessment of having a heart attack if you have the following:?

  • LDL 4.35 mmol/L HDL 1.26 mmol/L Triglycerides 1.96 mmol/L Blood pressure of 201/96 Male Age 57

Triglyceride will promote atherosclerosis. * Blood pressure: 201/96 mmHg. Hypertensive emergency (> 180/120 mmHg). Systolic BP is very high. * Pulse pressure 201-- 96 = 105 mmHg. Optimum pulse pressure is 40 mmHg. Pulse pressure > 60 mmHg is a strong predictor of heart problems. * Being a male (risk factor). * Age — Men acquire an independent risk factor at age 45. (risk factor). * Body mass index = 30.2 (Obese) Obesity is excess body fat; consequences depend not only on the absolute amount but also on the distribution of the fat. Complications include cardiovascular disorders, diabetes mellitus, many cancers, cholelithiasis, fatty liver and cirrhosis, osteoarthritis, reproductive disorders in men and women, psychologic disorders, and premature death.
