What do you call the glasses wore by near-sighted people?

How convenient with glasses is this? PLEASE ANSWER!?

• Okay. Last year in the middle of 2nd hour. I told my friend (layla) I might need glasses because when I read I can't see the words well while I was reading. So theirs this other friend (megan) next to me, and I ask her if I can see her glasses, so i look into them, and man did things look sharp and clear and so focused. And then my other friend (layla) puts on her (megans) glasses, and shes like, "wow! I can see so good out of these!" And then she wears everybody else's glasses until her EYE EXAM and then gets glasses (and she does not need them) and I dont get glasses and I still can't read a book well. Heres my point: I tell her i can't see well. then ALL OF SUDDEN (at that exact moment) she can't see far away (how convenient, right?) Then she schedules an eye exam (cause she can't see) then she "NEEDS" glasses, and for the first day, she wore them all day, and there READING GLASSES, and then since that day, she can see absolutely fine, she reads perfectly, she can read a book from like a foot away from her, and she doesn't wear contacts. Then finally like a year later, my mom scheduled an exam for me, and they say I don't need glasses. TRUST ME I know she does not need those glasses. She sees absolutely PERFECTLY and she can see perfectly and she never squints. And i had this Ultra Optix (like a magnified glass) and would bring it to school for reading, and then she has one, so she brings it, and while were reading Letters from Rifka, I use mine, and so does she, then after 5 minutes, she stops using it, and reading like 10 inches away from her book (this was before she got her glasses). And get this. After her exam when they said she needed glasses, she has to call me and rub it in my face.
