MANAGING HYPOGLYCEMIA I'm confused, and my body is telling me I could be doing better but I don't know how?

THANK YOU FOR READING. Ok, I'm confused, and my body is telling me I could be doing better but I don't know how. #1 PLEASE know that I have celiac disease, and IgE allergies to corn, soy, shellfish, eggs, nuts/seeds, nightshades(potatoes) and concurrently am lactose intolerant. I'M NEW TO MANAGING HYPOglycemia and feel like I'm not getting it right, especially at night. ALSO I HAVE LONG TERM INSOMNIA FROM CPTSD to manage Heres what usually happens: I wake up late, and the first thing my body wants is fruit to get my blood sugar up. I have that with pure Dark cocoa powder with stevia which has some protein fat and fiber. For lunch and dinner I have protein, veggies, root vegetables. For snacks I have decaf with lactaid or dark chocolate I ALWAYS make sure to eat A LOT of PROTEIN for lunch and dinner HERE's the PROBLEM: Right when I a TIRED and want to go to bed, My body says EAT! like its scared of hypoglycemia brain during the night or my brain is just getting there and I can feel it. Usually 2-3 hours have passed since dinner and I know I need something. I eat a big dinner, so don't usually feel hungry again till right when I want to go to bed. THEN I'm hypoglycemic, and I eat the snack I know is safe: plain greek yogurts with fruit(protein and carbs). I like this snack because the dairy HELPS me sleep and I have long term insomnia IM SUPER SENSITIVE to sugar. I think the problem is, I get too hypoglycemic before the snack, and then eat too much before bed. WELL THE TIMING AMOUNTS..... ONE night I ate an early dinner, had to help move boxes and I didn't realize how much time had passed like 5 hours and I got so hypoglycemic I felt scared and couldn't think straight and ended up eating 4 yogurts with cranberries which was too much bc I was overfull plus even though they are plain it was probably too much sugar with the cranberries. OR MAYBE my brain was just so messed up that it wasn't how much but rather that it couldn't readily recover. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECOVER do you know? USUALLY, My goal would be to eat dinner by 7(Doesn't happen OFTEN DUE TO WORK) Then btw 10-12 or so, eat @ 3 nonfat greek yogurts with 2 small apples or a grapefruit, but spread out. Its kind of like eating breakfast before bed. If I eat slowly, while doing other things, it feels ok like not too much sugar(I buy the greek yogurts with the most protein) I'M CONFUSED. Given my allergies, desire to learn how to manage hypoglycemia, get in bed on time, and not be too full, but not hypoglycemic either, what do you suggest I do in regards to this Confusion: amounts, bedtime timing? PLEASE ADVISE. Thank you so much for reading all that and taking into account the limitations of my allergies, plus my newness to how to handle/desire to feel better but not OVERDO it. My weight is fine. I just don't want to be too full or too hypoglycemic before bed. My body feels like it needs to eat within 45 minutes of bed or so to be safe. I WOULD LOVE TO LEARN/GET FEEDBACK about how I'm doing, this hypoglycemia/affect on my brain is very strong and its a lot to learn how to manage. ITS ALSO HARD TO SIMULTANEOUSLY MANGE LONG TERM INSOMNIA..... Last night I felt REALLY proud of being able to sleep by 12:30 but some nights its not till 3 am and THATS NOT MY FAULT, just like the CPTSD, though I wish it was differrent/easier.... THANK YOU SO MUCH

Answer:
What a mess! You are dealing with so many multiple issues, you must feel overwhelmed. My best advice to you is from experience with hypoglycemia. Don't try to eat large meals at all. Spread your calories out over the day and eat every 2 hours or so, small amounts. Do not overdo the before bedtime snacks. They will only make insomnia worse. Keep one of your snacks by the bed so if you wake up with a low blood sugar you have something right away. I can't help but feel that many of your problems could be addressed by a really knowledgeable dietitian who is not afraid to try balancing your hormones with diet and finding out what your body is missing or not using properly. I hope you find some real help, not just advice from an old diabetic like me.
