Can growth hormone deficiency cause blood sugar problems?
-
I got diagnosed at 11, the test showed I make no growth hormone at all. I was on genotropin till I was 15. Been off growth hormone replacement therapy for7 years. I have been having major blood sugar swings and wondered if that could cause it.

Answer:
GH has a direct link to hypoglycemia. GHD affects the balance of the inhibitors and stimulators of the endocrine system (pertaining to glands) thus affecting the pancreas.
