How can I be more successful with Shaklee?

How much Shaklee glucose complex can I take?

  • I feel it working on a daily dose but feel I could use more. Can I take more than one dose a day?

  • Answer:

I wouldn't. It contains vanadium and chromium which are trace minerals (and metals). That means that your body needs only very small amounts. Too much would be considered toxic. Shaklee's glucose complex contains 333% of the recommended daily allowance of chromium and the RDA of vanadium has not been established, but the articles I've read indicate that it can be harmful if too much is taken in. If you want to improve your insulin sensitivity, there's no better way than plenty of daily exercise and a diet rich in raw, natural foods. That simply means more natural fruits and vegetables and less man made, processed stuff. It's all about nutrition. One thing I noticed on the Shaklee product is the glaring omission of potassium. Potassium (from bananas, avocados, apricots, and others) helped my insulin sensitivity tremendously. My point is, make sure that you're getting adequate amounts of the recommended daily allowances of all vitamins and minerals. You don't need the glucose complex if you're getting everything you need. No single thing helps more, though, than plenty of exercise. What it does for your cellular response is nothing short of amazing.
