What can reduce a person's immune system?

To reduce sugar level in your system?

  • If you/I have eaten a lot of sugar, is there a way to reduce or subtract sugar from the system, or as (reversing the intake of sugar), do you what kinds of things I should do in order to (reduce my sugar level)? (If think of what other sweets & sugars I may eat later)

  • Answer:

First, you don't subject your body to high amounts of sugar to begin with. If you are not diabetic, your body will be able to handle an excess of sugar dumped into it although it might not be real happy about it and may cause you to suffer for your abuse--like you may break out in zits or hives, you may get a stomach ache, you may get a sugar high and then suddenly feel depleted of all your energy when all that sugar is burned off. You can't remove sugar once it's in your body except to let your body process it. Exercising your muscles will help burn up glucose since you cells use it as fuel so the more you use your muscles, the more glucose you burn off. If you're diabetic, you wouldn't want to dump sugar into your body since it's just not a wise thing to do; if you are on insulin you'll probably have to assess how much more insulin you need to take to compensate for all that sugar.

Insulin or if it's really high, urination gets rid of some. Exercise also burns up some glucose but you need a background level of insulin in the system for that to help and it should be 30 minutes or more of exercise. Anything you eat or drink will just add sugars though you can select foods that add more slowly.

The only way to reduce a high blood sugar is medication and occasionally exercise. If you have a high blood sugar level, you should be working with your diabetes team to stay well.

Well I am diabeic and obviously I can't have sugar "real sugar" so I tend to have sugar free sweets so for every 15 carbs I put one unit of insulin. Or if ot I just drink a lot of water and do some exercise :) Hope this helps!!!
