    This misinformation is crazy. Of course kids get diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is usually , but not always , diagnosed in childhood. My daughter was 2 when she was diagnosed. She was thin as are many with type 1 .This is very common . There are diabetes camps for kids with diabetes and support groups and so on. Diabetes is NOT caused by poor food or exercise levels.Ever. You cannot get type 2 without being genetically predisposed.You can weight 600 lbs and never get diabetes. How ever being overweight does add to insulin resistance and if you are predisposed, you can get type 2. How I wish that people would stop perpetuating myths.

Yes they can but it still is rare. Most kids who get diabetes have type 1. The T1 kids way outnumber the T2s.

Any person of any age can get this type of diabetes. It has nothing to do with age or level of maturity- I urge you to check with a doctor as soo. As possible. Catching it early and prescribing treatment can avoid many a unnecessary episode.

look hun, if you eat enough and if your exercise plan is nonexistent, then yep, you'll end up with diabetes sooner or later. mind you, you've got to be pretty obese.
