Anyone living abroad with type 2 diabeties who is american ?

• Can you please give me imfo on living abroud with diabeties. I plan to move to dominican republica belize or bolivia. I know the diet and exercise(due to alot of walking will be good). But i can find any consistan imfo on healthcare..like How much is a doctors visit w\o healthcare.What cities offer the best for my condition. I have visited DR and learned that they carry what i take..(medformin&lisinipril), I just need imfo about cost&health coverage.I have found out that the country will not cover preexisting conditions&that i could get a health plan from usa while there. But its not affordable! So i would like to know what others have or arew doing to live in those countries...Thanks

  I would think about moving to thailand. Belize would be expensive. I moved here because of healthcare. I have a American/ Thai doctor. Less than $5 a visit. I buy all drugs over the counter. Metformin 2 cents a pill. Tramadol 8 cents. America really has no health care for me. I am retired. Good ins. too expensive . Drugs to expensive. I retired with 1/2 million in the bank, but one sickness could wipe me out. So I moved. Before , I considered on moving to Costa Rica, but got robbed twice in 4 days. Very dangerous.
