Trust the doctor's tests. If they tested you an you're not allergic, it's psychological. It sounds like you have an anxiety disorder (a LOT of people, including myself, do). Perhaps you should talk to your doctor about remedies for that (therapy and/or medication, whatever works best for you). As for being able to eat cocoa powder: yeah, if you can eat that okay then you're probably not allergic to /chocolate/ itself. If you have an allergic reaction anyway after eating chocolate, it's possible that you're allergic to another ingredient: such as the milk, sweetener, or the wax they use to told it together. Let me just say, the two most common food allergies on the planet are gluten (wheat products) and lactose (milk products). I have both. If you can each cheese and bread okay, you're probably not allergic to anything else.

As far as yours and your doctor's diagnosis looks, you are not allergic to chocolate or anything else for that matter. I'm not a doctor, but it appears that you have a disease called hypochondria. This means that you subconsciously want to have a medical ailment so your body makes your mind believe that you do. If you tell yourself that you do not have allergies and you truly believe it, there is a 95% chance that you can eat anything you want. By the way, having a "serious"allergic reaction is the swelling of the throat until suffocation so not breathing is as serious as allergies are going to get.

This could be two things: 1) You are not really allergic to the chocolate, but you are allergic to a wax, preservative, sweetener, etc. that is in commercial chocolate. 2) The amount of cocoa powder in the tacobell meat is so small, your body is able to process it without any adverse reaction. Try eating a little bit of your yummy Easter chocolate and see if you get sick from it. Another possibility is that the chocolate you recently ate had something odd in it. (Which isn't surprising.) Cocoa powder is raw choclate, crumbled, toasted, and dryed. Chocolate is when wax, sugar, milk, etc is added for a smooth bar.
