ok for my GCSE food tech coursework i am hoping to design a cake for Children with dairy allergys part of it is i have to ask a questionairre to the chosen market ok here it goes.... 1.are there many dairy/gluten free cakes on the market? 2.If you want a Dairy/gluten free cake do you end up making one yourself? 3. do you find dairy/gluten free cakes not as good as cakes with dairy 4.do you fid there is much variety in dairy/gluten free cakes 5. are cakes clearly labled with what they contain? 6.and anything else you think maybee useful

1. There are not many store bought cakes available because they need to be made in a gluten free facility. 2.You most definetly end up making a cake yourself if you need one. 3.After much trial and error I have found a couple really good gluten free cakes that I think are close to non gluten free cakes. 4. There is alot of variety in Gluten free cakes if you make them yourself. 5. Cakes are clearly labeled with the ingrediants. The best piece of advice I can give when making a gluten free cake is not to overmix. It makes the cake brick hard. Just a gentle blending is all you need for a light and fluffy cake.

There are very very few dairy free cakes on the market.Gluten free foods are becoming more common. Look in your local health food store since they are usually better at stocking gluten and dairy free foods.

All you have to do is google dairy/gluten free cakes and then order one from there. If it is too expensive, then what you could do is get the ingredients. Some cakes, are labeled, but like designer cakes have a better chance of not being labeled. The website below might have some info and might sell some cakes.

heyy ali like i said my mum is celiac which is serious if u eat a little peice of it you can become really ill so you have to go carefull with food

1. No there really aren't...the brand I'm familier with is Cherrybrooke kitchens. 2. I have nut allergies, and mostly I look for allergy friendly boxed stuff 'cause it's easier. 3. No difference to me, but it may be because I am used to stuff tasting a little off 4.Not at all ...for any allergies. 5.The allergy friendly ones are.
