How can I cure my throat?

[ Excessive PHLEGM ] stuck in my throat? WHY and HOW can I cure this?

  • Sorry this is going to seem a little gross..but bear with me. =x I always have this thick, slimy mucus stuck in my throat. I can't swallow it or cough it up, unless I hack really loud. This is constant! It's so annoying, and it gives me bad breath D: Also, sometimes it comes up as hard, yellow clumps which burns my throat till I get it out. This stuff makes it hard to talk, and even breath when it's really bad. It's fustrating because I have to deal with this all day and I refuse to cough it up in a public setting (school, work, with friends) I went to the doctor but he acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. -__- He gave me some nose spray and told me to buy mucinex and take it 2 x a day...which isn't helping much. I've had my tonsils and adenoids removed a few years back if that matters. Thanks for the help.

    I've always heard drinking lots of water will thin out mucous. Hope you feel better.

heres the MASTER cure: gargle a cup of warm saltwater once every hour. one cup of warm water per teaspoon of salt. that will help! garggle away!! :)
