What's the fundamental difference between nuclear reactions and chemical reactions?

Random allergic reactions but doctors say its nothing?

  • Ok so I understand that this is yahoo answers but i want your opinion. Alrighty so I am allergic to soy, dust, mold and some animals( cats, dogs) and toradol. All my life ive had allergic reactions. When I was little I had THE WORST REACTIONS ever. I would get the WORST hives all over my body. No one else in my family, distant or imediate members, have any allergies! This is just some background. Today: Ill be in practicing and ill get random hives or rashes. Sometimes I'll start sneezing and Ill have a runny nose to the point where i stick tissues up my nose because its seriously that bad and ill feel like dying! I dont mean to be dramatic but even though the dr.s have said theres nothing else im allergic to, then whats happening? If I eat chocolate on an empty stomach, I'll be the hives or a rash. If Im in certain weather hot or cold. But the weird thing is, I'll eat foods that contain soy and nothing happens. And 99% of the food that I eat has soy. Weird! I don't always break out in a reaction but if im allergic to it then why not? One time I ate 2 chocolate chips cookies on an empty stomach, and wow! Both my legs were swarmed with hives. Or when Im around grass Ill get the hives or rash, but not always and yet the dr.s say Im not allergic. What I want to know is, how is it that the tests cant tell me more things im allergic to? Btw: I have taken tons, and I means tons of allergy tests at hospitals and dr.s offices. PS: Ive seen on mtv's true life, and this one girl had a complete reaction to something she ate and she could not breathe. I get the worst reactions and yet i can still breathe, is there something that needs to happen in specific for my throat to close? Im not saying i want it to happen but Im terrified its going to happen ): its never happened to me though oh and Im 16 if that helps???

  • Answer:

I am also allergic to soy, dust and mold (along with a lot of other things). First of all, i have to say, if you are allergic to these foods, you should not be eating them. It could be that these food take a while to build up in your body and that is why you are getting random hives. You could also be getting random hives from environmental allergies (which would make sense because you get hives from grass). I have environmental allergies and one thing that really helps me is having a spoonful of local honey (the pollen in it can help your body learn how to fight off allergens). You can get local honey from a health food store like Sprouts. (I don't know if you have those out where you live.) I have had many allergy blood tests done and i don't think they are exactly accurate. One time when i was tested the test said i was allergic to milk. Then i got tested a couple weeks later and it my milk allergy did not show up. The best thing you can do to find out if you are allergic to something is to cut if out of your diet and see if you feel any better. I would start by cutting out the top 8 most common allergies. My allergic reactions started in February of this year with just hives. Now they have gotten worse and a couple months ago i started having breathing problems. I carry around an Epi Pen just in case i have a bad reaction. You might be able to get one from your doctor. Another thing that helps me if i have a reaction that affects my breathing is using my inhaler. But i don't know if that would help everyone or if that's only because i have asthma also. Sorry to bombard you with information. Hope at least some of this is helpful. =]
