If im allergic to nickel, silver, and gold, would i be allergic to platinum?
-
I am allergic to nickel, silver, and gold (im not sure about white gold, though), but im not sure if i'm allergic to platinum. I've never had the pleasure of wearing platinum, and im not sure if it would make me break out or not. The reason i want to know is because i need to order my class ring, and i don't think they would make it in stainless steel (the only metal im not allergic to).

Answer:
You would be allergic to white gold, because white gold is just gold and nickel mixed together, or sometimes gold mixed with another metal like palladium or platinum. I can't say for certain that you would be allergic to platinum, but you definitely have a higher chance than normal since you are allergic to those other, similar heavy metals.
