Claritin-D and Mucinex together?
-
I just got over strep throat and after a couple days at the pool my allergies are flaring up incredibly bad, which includes itchy eyes, runny nose, sore throat, nasal drainage, and congestion. I've taken Clartin-D, 24 hour yesterday and today but I feel the congestion in my chest. It hurts when I cough, and nothing with come up. So my question would be can I take Claritin-D and Mucinex together?

Answer:
However, I recommend taking regular Mucinex and not Mucinex D, because that has pseudophedrine in it, as does the Claritin-D. You don't need that much sudafed!
