My throat glands feel hard and swollen. Is this normal?

Can allergies cause a person to feel like the glands next to the throat are always swollen?

  • Answer:

I know for a fact yes it can. What happens is the allergy is trying to cause an infection some where like the sinus's or ears. Please tell your doctor so he/she can get you on the right meds so you don't have to suffer anymore...

Yes. Allergies can cause the throat to close completely. Allergies can be very severe.

Yes! And so can a sinus infection.

Yes, your body interprets an allergen as a foreign substance and triggers an immune response, some are stronger than others and will involve the lymph glands. Swelling and tenderness to touch are most noticeable.
