Can Flonase help clear up clogged ears?

My ears are constantly clogged!?

  • For about 2 years now my ears constantly feel clogged. I try to close my nose and pop them but it never works. It feels like a little balloon expands within my ear but will never pop. my doctor prescribed me flonase but it didnt work. then he told me to take claritin everyday but i dont really think its working. I NEED HELP. this is so frustrating and sometimes very painful!

  • Answer:

Middle ear fluid. I had that for 7 years in my right ear. As it turns out I have severe hypoadrenalism. I did a lot of research, foud out that aldosterone is responsible for that. I had myself tested and I'm hypoaldosternone. I did more searching: aldosterone is in charge of body fluid balance, including ear. I started eating a LOT of sea salt and it cleared up on its own. Sometimes I drink baking soda in water. I also have severely low BP and my body cannot keep sodium so I need to constantly replenish it.

Try taking a decongestant such as Sudafed; it can often help with nasal/aural blockages. If you get itchy eyes or stuffy nose as well, you might want to take a dose of Benadryl or another antihistimine ot keep allergies at bay. Generics are fine for either type of medication.
