Can you really be allergic to EVERYTHING?

I think I'm allergic to everything, do you know what I can eat?

  • I am 19 and I just found out that I'm allergic to Cow's Milk Wheat Gluten rye barley Egg Whites Cashew nuts Egg Yolk Garlic Soya beans Almonds Oats Peanuts Chicken Strawberries Tomato Bananas Potato Blue Berrys Carrots It is so hard to find stuff to eat but I can eat corn ^_^ If anyone knows some recipes PLEASE HELP ME!

    i'm like you - allergic to a ton of stuff - mine's 3 pages long. LOL. i found a site cookingallergyfree.com and what you do is set up your own profile. you go through the allergy list and checkmark what you're allergic to. then when you go find recipes it comes up with warning signs. if you're allergic - red circle. if you may need to watch out - yellow. if ingredient is okay, green. for me my allergies were overwhelming at first. i went to the grocery store and almost cried because i didn't even know what i could buy... but after the first few times, i got into a pattern where i can just go immediately to the things i know i can have. also, i have found local organic farms and farmers markets to be a big help because you can buy fresh and talk to the person who made the stuff to find out what's in it. downside is it's expensive. another one is a book i found called "what to eat when you can't eat anything" by chupi sweetman. it's not a big fancy cookbook and no real colour pictures or anything - just some down-to-earth ideas. it also is good because it lists foods you can have when you're hypersensitive, sensitive and not sensitive. i quite like the shakes in them because they're simple to do when i'm in a hurry. i know this is long, but finally - look for good substitutes. if you have grain problems, you might be okay with spelt? cow's milk - goat's/sheep's? eggs - egg substitute? nuts - try seeds? potato - try sweet potato? etc.
