I'm allergic to bananas?

• I am VERY sensitive to the smell of bananas, I can smell them HOURS after they've been somewhere, like once my Grandad was eating bananas in the car earlier and when I went into the car I could smell bananas. The smell makes me feel like I'm going to throw up, I haven't voluntarily eaten them in my 13 years old life and when I have eaten them I''ve been sick. How common are banana allergies, because when I tell people them seem to think I'm lying.
