Why do you get a bloody nose?and stop one?

  • i been getting really bad bloody nose.i have already had 3 bloody noses today 1)4am 2.)6pm 3)1am each last about 30 minutes.why do i keep getting them? im sick so i blow my nose a lot but if i don't i feel stuffed.my dad used to and still gets them a lot to.why do you get a bloody nose?how can you stop them?(i wont lean my head back)

    The inside of your nose is sensitive. All of the extra traffic from the build up of mucus irritates it. If your nose has been dry then scabs can form inside of the passageways. You blow your nose and knock the scab lose then the nose bleeds. Also, a lack of iron can cause nose bleeds. Try an antihistimine. It will slow or stop the mucus buildup. Good luck.

It might be really really dry. Do you have a humidifier? If not, maybe take a steamy shower or use this nasal spray called Ocean. If you think it's not related to being sick, look into something called HHT, it's hereditary and causes bloody noses.

usually u get nosebleeds if you have injured your skull! i would go to a doctor but it could be genetic ?! lean your head forward and pinch your nose . it should stop. good luck
