I have these strange itchy bumps on my hands. What could they be?
-
I used to think that these were poison oak or poison ivy since I used to live near a place that had vines of some sort (not sure if poison oak or poison ivy)... but I've noticed that they're coming back in the same place over and over again and I'm not anywhere near vines since I just relocated without bringing much to my new location, just clothes. The irritation is always on my hands, usually on the back of my hand or on my pinky finger. It's a small series of bumps that resemble poison ivy bumps but they aren't filled with as much puss. My reaction to poison ivy is to have poofy bumps filled with puss that itch like mad. These are half the size and half as itchy. It's almost like a rash from poison ivy that's very mild. If I pop them, they spread (yeah I was an idiot about it once and popped them) and they turn red, dry, and sore. But I haven't been exposed to poison ivy or poison oak! In fact, I've been in the house all week. My boyfriend seems to have the same thing on his hands. He thought his was an allergic reaction to the dishwashing liquid they would use at work... but we can't both be having allergic reactions, let alone me having a reaction to something that I don't use or touch. Anyone familiar with this?

Answer:
I'm afraid scabies is a possibility. You should see your doctor, of course, but certain treatments and efforts in the home would clear scabies up in a few days.

Could be you're being bit by some insect while you sleep, like a tiny spider, or you could have psoriasis, or maybe you're allergic to the fabric softener dryer sheets you use when you throw your clothes in the dryer, or you're allergic to some fabric of clothing you wear, or are allergic to some pets you pet everyday or something you're "handling" every day without realizing it...

Yes, you both can have an allergic reaction to something. Try changing things around, the soap etc, see what happens.

not to sound rude but have you concidered Scabies as they produces small red bumps and blisters and affects specific areas may involve the webs between the fingers Scabies are tricky you see they may come and go because of touch of thing's Example you may have made you bed and put your hands under the matress at some point .Not even knowing this.Scabies is very easy to misdiagnose because early subtle cases may look like small pimples or mosquito bites settings may harbor scabies without showing significant itching or visible signs.
