How can i give up smoking? i really cant i hav an allergy to da patches and gum plz help?

i hav allergies to da patches and gum and i want to give up but my will power is very low and if i dnt smoke i eat lik hell not that i put on weight lik but i wanna stop smokin can any1 help

ok well the best thing to do is to stop buying the smokes oh yeah and also when you get the erge to smoke then just call a freind up mind you if it is late just go to bed if your sleep you won't smokebut if you have bad nerves then work on that most of te times people smoke cuz they need to relax and take a chil pill just find another way to relax and problem solved or stress a little less and you might solve you problem

The hardest thing I have ever done was to give up smoking. I had tried and failed so many times, using the gum, patches and medication and the longest I ever lasted was 6 months and then something stressful would happen and I would find myself right back to smoking. Three years ago I decided to make a plan and will power was not part of it because will power is something that comes and goes. I decided that I could not use any reason except ME for the reason to quit, I could not do it for my family or any other reason. I made a plan and the included that I would not gain weight, a reason I went back to smoking several times. I cleaned up my whole life that meant not over eating to take the place of smoking. I had two things to help me out and that was a water bottle that I kept with me at all times and crocheting that I would do when I was bored and needed to do something with my hands. I got rid of all the lighters, ashtrays, etc. and never went near the store that I bought the cigs. from. I took it one day at a time, always remembering that I am doing this for ME and no one else. I also lost weight! I wanted to put good things in my body and keeping track of what I was putting in my mouth also helped with the non-smoking. I felt great right away and it was the best thing I ever did for ME. If you are around people who smoke some of them will want you to fail, so be prepared for that and make sure you have a good support system of non-smokers around. Now I can't even stand the smell of smoke and will hold my breath when I pass a smoker. Just stay with it and you will make it, and you will be so proud of yourself!
