If someone get hospitalized over a bee sting when they're very little, are they just as,...?

,...allergic when when they later are fully grown? The reason I ask this is because I heard my sister was hositalized by a bee sting when she was very little, but I never seen or heard of her being stung since then. Does this mean even now as she's fully grown, that she would be be just as allergic? She's in her 30s like me. I'm also wondering, are some really so allergic to bee stings that they have literally died from just a single bee sting? Has just ONE bee really killed a fully grown adult human being? I've heard of people being very allergic where they get hospitalized over it, but I never heard of anyone actaully dying over that single bee sting.
