I'm scared.. Allergic reaction?
-
I am TERRIFIED of allergic reactions. Whenever I have a tiny little allergic reaction like a rash or something I freak out and start thinking it could become a serious one. Well at about 11:30 (45 minutes ago) it felt like I got poked in my scalp. I totally freaked out and looked around my bed everywhere for spiders (since I think I am allergic to a certain bug where it gets a HUGE site of bug bite and I think it's probably spider) but I couldn't find any. But then I just starting thinking the worse that could happen and stuff, and I freaked and told my mom. Like always, mom was mad for waking me up and she slept in my bed to make me feel better for "10" minutes even though it was really only 3 minutes. Mom didn't really make me feel better though, I felt worse. She just said "No no no, that's not gonna happen," but how does she know?! Now I am shaking and crying and feeling hot and stuff and I'm scared if I'm having a serious allergic reaction. I cant stop thinking about it I am so scared! Also I am itching really bad and I have a few rashes, but I guess that was happening earlier today too. But still, I am scared! What is going on?! Am I having a serious allergic reaction, an allergic reaction, or just plain overreacting? Oh and if I am overreacting what could be the itching problem? Thanks!

Lol don't worry it's all in your head when I used to freak out as a kid idk why but sleeping on the couch in the living room used to comfort me lol... Try that if you want haha.plus if it was a reaction YOU WOULD KNOW!! Almost instantly my cousin had a allergic reaction to a bee and he felt REALLY sick almost instantly so if your reading this a couple minutes after then YOUR FINE! Sleep in peace lol

first of all... the more you freak out the worse it will seem,so try to calm down.Others won't take you seriously if you don't. Any insect bite will leave a welt & itch. A severe reaction would cause your whole body to swell up,including your face & throat, causing you breathing difficulties....you also don't get really upset, because the swelling in your face will reduce your oxygen..I get really sleepy & have a feeling of peace & some confusion when i have severe reactions.I have had more of them than I can count..My son has had many of them too.He has the same feelings I just described. since you only have the welt & itching,it is just a normal reaction that everyone has from an insect bite..Our bodies react that way to get rid of the stuff the insect has injected with it's sting. You can get itchy & rashes when you get too upset..that's why you need to try to calm yourself down. have you ever been tested for allergies ? your dr can send you for a simple blood test.that can help you understand what you may be allergic to & how bad it really is or isn't I am allergic to spiders..I never see them but I have the bite..what my specialist told me to do was to use Benadryl anit itch cream..and take 25 mgs of Benadryl. That stops the reaction & itch.I also use a cold compress on the sting..it helps with the itching & any swelling. I have dealt with severe allergic reactions since I was an infant..the first reaction i had was to the soy in the formula they gave me.My throat & face swelled up & I was violently sick with severe cramps. I have had blood tests every 5 years since then..I am now 51 My son also has severe allergies..he gets tested every 2 years It is understandable you get worried about reactions..but you need to stay calm or people will mistake them for anxiety & not take you seriously if you do react look online to find out what a sensitivity is compared to a severe reaction. The best thing you can do is to educate yourself about allergies & reactions..so far 25mgs Benadryl is the best treatment for them & to stay on it for a few days,it will make you very sleepy so be careful what you do after taking it. I sure hope you can figure out a way to calm your self..sometimes I listen to praise & worship music when I have slight reactions to calm my self..it takes my mind off of it..My son has learned to do it to calm himself down..it really helps Until you have been tested, you won't know for sure if you really are having severe reactions or are very sensitive to things..It helps put your mind at ease to know for sure huge hugs,I'll keep you in my prayers too
