Can you sneeze in your sleep?

When I've had a short sleep my nose runs and i sneeze alot. Why??

  • It only happens for the hour or two after i wake up and only when i have had a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon or when i have had a 5-6 hour sleep overnight. I often have interrupted sleep patterns as i work day and night alot. It seems like hayfever but Im pretty sure its not allergies because it happens randomly and not in reaction to anything in particular other than sleep. Anyone got a way to stop it cos it drives me crazy!!!!

  • Answer:

That happens to me all the time but after an hour i stop

Any feathers in your pillows that you could be allergic to? Also check to make sure the furnace filter has been changed...you can buy expensive ones ($20) at the grocery that filter out allergens.

Wow i thought i was the only one!! ive been told its an allergic reaction to feathers in your pillow (if you have any) i would suggest cotton pillows , because feathers are prone to get your nose running hope that helped :)

Sound like hay fever but to be sure I make sure the bed linen are changed regularly you know dust mites.. If its still persists see family doctor.
