How to get rid of my fruit allergies?

Do i have an allergy to fruit?

  • Whenever I eat fruit I get a tingling and itchy mouth. I dont often eat fruit because of this. But I recently decided to face it, and eat and apple and my mouth felt itchy and tingly even my lips. A few years ago I always ate bananas but they always made my tongue itchy. I also have other allergies such as: peanut, pollen and all fur. Do you think I may have an allergy to fruit?

    Im allergic to peanuts pollen and all fur to and when ever i eat fruit this happens!:O I found out that im definetly allergic to Bananas, strawberries,pineapples and kiwis and i got told to avoid the others just incase! Go to your doctor and get a blood test because if your really badly allergic to nuts(like I am) then my doctor said you are most likely to be allergic to bananas kiwis and strawberries(I have no idea why:L)

either the fruit or a chemical that is being used during growth, packing or transport ....... go buy an organic apple and eat one tiny mouthfull....... honestly..... just take one TiNy mouthfull .... because if you do hve a fruit allergy the reaction will be far more dramatic with an organic apple than a commercially produced one..... the side effects produced by intolerances and allergies will only progress into far more uncomfortable symptoms if left unadressed ..... your body is smart and it will begin to react a lot quicker to what it perceives to be a toxin. bless x

it could be a reaction to pesticides on the skins of the fruit try peeling the apple before you eat it to see if it happens without the skin

Yes it's highly likely to have an allergy to some fruit. You should be able to get specialist testing to check via your doctor.

its possible or maybe it could also be an alergy to a pesticide given to the fruit either way maybe next time you see your docter bring it up to them.

I think you have oral allergy syndrome. It is linked to pollen allergies. Canned fruit does not bother you, does it?
