How long for an allergy to occur?

In food allergy what range of seriousness takes place and how many fatalities occur each year?

  I am not sure about fatalities but I know the range of seriousness can range from headaches, stomach aches,change in bowel movements, hyperness, being lethargic, to physical apprearance (dark circles under the eyes/ skin rashes) all the way to shock or even death. It depends on how the individual person who has allergies reacts to the allergen that is presented in their bodies. I am in no way an expert but my son recently had testing done and the doctors informed us of some of the ways the body handles these "intruders".
