yes, indeed you can still purchase original pseudoephedrine. all products containing this drug are now kept behind the counter in the pharmacies. you just need to show an acceptable form of ID (ie. driver's license). your name, address and birthdate will be logged electronically and the amount of pseudoephedrine you purchase will be tracked and kept on file. each time your purchase one of these products you must provide your signature to acknowledge the purchase.

I've thanked all my crank-addicted friends for this too, because pseudoephedrine does work quite well in cold medications, now it takes me another 15 minutes just to get a box while my nose is running all over the place and I'm hacking to hell and back.
