Can dizziness be caused by my seasonally allergies?

Are dizziness, drowsiness associated with allergies?

  • I am allergic to so many things such as trees, weeds, nuts, seafood, dust mite, pollen, dander, and others. Currently, I am taking Astelin, Allegra D, Advair, and Singulair to arrest the frequency of my allergies. Recently, I started taking weekly allergy shots which are supposed to alleviate my allergies. I have been experiencing dizziness and oftentime drowsiness in the afternoon. Are drowsiness and dizzines associated with allergies?

  • Answer:

Sometimes, yes. But if the dizziness and drowsiness started about the same time the shots did, you might be having a reaction to them. Tell your doctor so you can figure out something different. Good luck!

No dizziness and sleepiness are not asociated with allergies. They are associated with your allergy medications. Sleepiness and dizziness are the side effects of the medication. My guess would be that the dizziness and drowsiness are more connected to the four different medications. Speak to your doctor about getting one drug that will do the trick.

It is a possability, however I would ask my docter if you could be experiencing a side effect of the injections. There are a number of reasons that you could be experiencing these symptoms age facters in as well as physical activity email me with what you find out I would be interested to find out what is going with you

I think your symptoms result from all your meds. Tell your doctor about them because they can impair driving or operating machinerary. Don't give up on the injections though. From my personal experience, they do help, although it takes timel Good luck to you.

No, but they are with the drugs you are taking. Were they all prescribed by the same Dr? you seem to be on a huge array of somewhat similar medications. Check asap with your PCP and a good pharmacist

they are not associated with allergies, but they might be a side-effect to your meds. Also, you might be taking too many meds and they are reacting to each other
