How do I know if I'm allergic or not?

How do i know if im allergic to all nuts, or just pecans?

  • i had an apple/cinnamon muffin and had an allergic reaction due to the pecans, and i was wondering how do i know if im allergic to just pecans or all nuts because ive had cashoes and i ate a peanut a long time ago (maybe five, i was at a b-ball game) before and they never bothered me, except i didn't like the taste too much, but no reaction.

you need to see your doctor (gp in the uk) and ask them to test you based on your theory! thay can test to find if your allergic to a certain type or all nuts! you can ask and find find out at the very least! x x x

You have to do the detective work that a scientist would. When you have zero symptoms, eat 10 almonds. If nothing happens, wait 3 days and eat 10 pistachios. Continue until it is time to eat pecans. It is possible that you were never allergic to pecans but you just had a reaction to something on the same day you ate the muffin.
