Do I have Spring allergies?

What do you use to treat your spring allergies?

  • I live in Northeast Ohio and my allergies are at their worst ever right now. My nose is stuffy, I'm sneezing like a fiend, and I want to scratch my eyes out...AFTER taking loratadine (Claritin). If you have bad spring allergies, what are you doing that seems to be working for you?

    I'm in the same boat right now. I'd been takin Zyrtec until I ran out a few days ago so I went back to the Claritin I had. Today, I've been sneezing like crazy. I'm going to go get some more Zyrtec. They say it makes you drowsier than Claritin does, but it doesn't affect me that way.

I currently take 24Hr Claritin in the morning and at night (and have been doing so off and on for years). I have an air cleaner in the living room and i have an Ionic Breeze in the bedroom as well as a filter on my fan which is on the nightstand. I'm keeping the windows/doors open only when it's raining for fresh air (rain cleans the outside air from pollen etc.). I have moved most of my plants outside so the moisture and anything in the soil does not bother me. I also take 4-5 drops of Oregano Oil daily which is also sold in pill form. (But I can't take the pill form as it has other ingredients in it such as plant clorophyll) It REALLY helps. Oregano Oil treats a whole lot of problems too.

We really like Alavert. It comes in a chewable form now in orange and mint flavors, and is good for 24 hours. It works great! We used to use Sudafed or Benadryl all the time, but since we tried Alavert, we never went back.
