How to prevent a possible allergic reaction?

I have to volunteer at an animal shelter tomorrow and I know that it is highly possible I will have an "allergy attack" when I'm there. What precautions can I take before I go to prevent this?

Well I would advise volunteering somewhere else because there is no way to prevent allergic reaction.

If your allergy is severe, it's definitely not worth the risk. If it is not so bad then take Piriton or a safe anti-histamine beforehand.

Find somewhere else to volunteer. Otherwise you will most likely need meds and an epi-pen.
