Why do we have a runny nose when we are sick?

Why is my nose runny when I get up in the morning but I am not sick?

  • For the last year and half, I have been congested especially in the morning as if I am running a fever or sick, but I am not sick. Every time I get up in the morning, within in a minute or so my nostril fills with clear mucus and little bit of boogers, which forces me to sneeze wildly. At that point, I run to the bathroom to expel it. What's amazing is that I usually expel a lots of mucus. If I don't have mucus in my nose, my nose is usually filled with a lots of dried up boogers that I spend hours digging them out and they are usually very big and chunky. Obviously, I don't see anything in them, although I used to see blood while back but not anymore. I hate this. I never ever felt this way. I hope I don't have worms in my large intestine that's causing my body to bloat and makes me fart a lot and filling my nose with mucus. Apparently, my body is trying to expel something foreign in my body but what.

  • Answer:

It definitely sounds like you have allergies. Go see a doctor to confirm and then they can give you nose sprays to help with the congestion. For now I would start taking Zyrtec (safe) 2 tsp a day, or 1 in the morning and again 1 in the evening. You can use this everyday. Also, make sure your room is dust free, get rid of rugs, and wash al linen in hot water. Good luck~

I was thinking dry air, smoking or something. I didn't know worms could do that.
