Can dizziness be caused by my seasonally allergies?

Can nasal drainage/allergies cause dizziness?

  • I've had year round allergies for as long as I can remember. When I was little I didn't know I had allergies, I just always felt like nausiated. As I got older and it got more severe i figured out that it was nasal drainage. Sometimes I get dizzy, can allergies cause me to become dizzy? I have never passed out or thrown up from it, but it always makes me nauseos and sometimes dizzy, especially at gym class. Once we get done with running is when it gets the worst.

  • Answer:

Yes. My allergies cause me dizziness when I get all clogged and congested in the head/ears/nose. The fluid inside my head and ear tend to move causing dizziness.

Other answers

Yes. I have allergies pretty much year round also and when it's really bad I often get dizzy. It has something to do with fluid buildup. I usually only get where I feel sick when the dizziness is at its worst.
