How do I know if I'm allergic or not?

How do I know if im allergic to peanuts?

• I could remember when I was little I used to eat peanut butter and other foods with peanuts with them. But later somehow I had the thought that I'm allergic to them. Now I'm thirteen and I'm missing out on some of the foods with peanuts in them. I'm not sure if im allergic to them because I hear that peanuts is a major allergy with big reactions sometimes. Oh and sometimes I might eat things now that say may contain peanuts and don't give reaction such as hersheys or something else. And i cant get an allergy test because it cost too much.

  My friend said they used to test if you are allergic to something by rubbing said thing on the back of your wrist and see if you had any sort of reaction to it. Idk if its true though you could try though.
