What to you take for allergies?

I have outdoor allergies but i want to know what i can take over the counter that will work the best all day?

  • I was just on this outdoor thing all weekend and i could not enjoy my weekend because of my stupid allergies. I got a really bad runny nose and my head felt like it was going to explode. I got a bad caugh but the thing is i don't think i need to go to the doctor because i know that i don't have it that bad. i just want to know what is the best over the counter med i can take for the best results.

    I know a lot of people who swear by Zyrtec and Claritin. The only thing that works for me is Claritin D-but know that there is a high dose of pseudoephedrine in it. I try to save it for the days that are really bad, and it helps tons. It is a bit pricey, but it also works for 24 hours, and the generic versions work just as well. I hope you feel better!

Loratadine, the active ingredient in Claritin is a great antihistimine. That will help keep your allergies under control. It's really nice because it doesn't cause msot people to get sleepy. There are a lot of good decongestents on the market... but be cautious... a lot of them cause drowsiness. Once you get a clear head then just keep taking the Loratadine daily during the allergy season. If that doesn't do the trick fairly quickly you probably need to dee your doctor... and maybe an allergy specialist.

take equate allergy relief in the day and take the tylenol p.m. allergy night time to get good sleep.... u can also use vicks, but it sometimes is a little too pricey
