Spermicidal lubes, latex allergy?
-
My girlfriend has a latex allergy, and experiences a burning sensation when I use a latex condom. We use non-latex condoms now, but we want to experiment with different types of lube. I have read that some people experience a burning sensation when using a lube with spermicide in it. Do you think this will happen with her since she already has a latex allergy? Are the two related?

Answer:
Spermicide has an antibacterial property which disrupts the PH balance in the vagina, causing burning and itching. Buy a few different kinds of lube and experiment, see which one is best.
