How to get an allergy test done?

• How do i get an allergy test done? I do notice with A LOT of the foods i eat i immediately get itchy,tongue swells or get sore right after,sometime hives(but sometime cant tell the difference from a breakout and hives). My symptoms are usually mild or go away after a few hours that's why i didn't worry too much. I recently heard they can start mild but in the future they get much worse or even deadly. I am concerned so what kind doctor do i talk to for an allergy test. Thanks for all info. Will choose a best answer soon(10pts)

  You call your primary care doc and they refer you to an allergist. Or you just call up an allergist. But check with your insurance and see whether they require you go through your primary care doc... or if they have a list of "in-network" docs. They test is fairly quick and simple.
