Why are we allergic to cats?

Why am I allergic to dogs but not cats?

  • I have three cats and I have never had allergy problems at all and Monday I got a puppy given to me, and within two days I was sneezing horribly, my eyes were red and itchy, and I had horrible head aches. I took the dog out into my garage to stay for a couple days and all my symptoms went away, and If I bring him back in the house the symptoms come right back. What is about dogs that I'm allergic too? Cats have fur and shed and I have no problems at all with them so what makes a dog different? Don't worry my Garage has wood heat and running water so it can be his own puppy palace.

  • Answer:

There is cat dander and dog dander. You are probably allergic to dog. Also, you dog could be dirty or sometimes, some people are not allergic to the dog, but the flea collar or the flea powder. Good Luck.!!!!
