Can I be allergic to nuts and chocolate?

  • My friend is allergic to chocolate according to the doctor... Whenever she eats it she gets sinus problems and nose bleeds.. She stopped eating chocolate and has been fine... She just noticed that now when she has peanut butter or eats nuts, she gets the same symptoms... Is there something in both of those that would cause the same reaction?

    I have many allergies to foods and environmental things. That I know of they do not have the same properties. She just has two allergies. Many people are allergic to peanuts and chocolate. But it usually doesn't stop there. I would suggest she goes to the doctor and get tested to see what she is allergic to. That way she can avoid those things and they may not get worse. Because the more you are around those allergies the worst effect they have on you.

You can be allergic to more than one food. I have 3 kids. The oldest is allergic to NO foods, the middle one is allergic to dairy and peanuts and the baby is allergic to apples, bananas, pears, sweet potatos, tomatos and chocolate.
