Could I be allergic to milk?

Milk increases mucus production isn't a myth or am I allergic?

• everytime I drink milk my nose gets stuffed its not even a question, it happens instantly within the hour. I've been obsessed with milk my entire life and my entire life I've had a stuffy nose. when we tested the theory and my family withheld milk from me for three days as a kid, my nose was fine. And now since our dorm fridge is ****, I can't have milk and my nose is fine (unless its cold). I have bad pollen allergies so we just assumed it was that and we lived in hay fever central, but here in arizona now we've realized that it doesn't really apply anymore. ITS MILK. MIIILK. It took me a decade to admit it! So since we've established its milk.... Am I allergic, with the sole reaction of a stuffy nose when milk is ingested or do I just drink too much milk and milk increases mucus production? or both, since I haven't been drinking milk lately and it kinda just takes one cup. ... I haven't tested this on other dairy products but I think I'm fine with cheeses and maybe yogurt and ice cream so it'd just be the milk. I think I'm mostly angry because I heard its just a rumor about 50 times now and now I don't know what to do with myself. ffffffffff. And even the nose doctors didn't know why that stupid flosaine or whatever it was called and other medicines weren't working and we kinda gave up and thought they were bullshit so it must have been milk. And how can I have just one reaction if I'm allergic? Its weird.

  well you seemed to have answered your own question. I too am allergic to milk although what we have is called an interance vs an allergy. I too love milk so much that I just drank it anyway and dealt with the swollen eyes( only in the mornings because I could only drink milk at night because it made me soooo sleepy) and stuffy nose. Anyway I started taking a calcium pill and no longer crave milk. Maybe you should do the same. I know you love love love milk, but the craving will go away. Milk is a very common allergy by the way. Now you are making me want a glass of milk and i realize that I haven't had my calcium pill tonight. Good luck to you .
