Why is my nose constantly stuffy?

Why is my nose always so stuffy and why do I have so much mucus in my throat?!?

  • Every morning when I wake up, My nose is ALWAYS stuffy. It's not in a liquid form, it's hard inside. I am sick of it. When I try to sneeze everything out, not much comes out and sometimes nothing comes out even when I feel there's something inside. The only way to clear my nose is when I'm taking a shower and I blow it all out. That's the only time everything comes out of my nose. This part is kinda disgusting, the color of it is never clear, it's always a dark color like black and dark green and sometimes light green . I deal with my stuffy nose everyday. I don't think I've walked out the door with a clear, clean nose. My breathing is fine, but I feel the stuff inside my nose. And I have so much mucus!!! Even when I spit some out, I can still feel it inside. What is causing all of this? please help...

  • Answer:

Sugar produces mucus, and, so does cow milk & products made with it. (They have recently reported that certain breeds of milk cows produce non-mucus producing milk, but that the U.S.A. maily has the mucus-producers!) So, I recommend cutting both out of your diet, reading all ingredient lists, & omitting all foods that contain either. Certain herbs help the body to eject mucus, as well, such as cayenne pepper / capsaicin, mullien leaf (gets it out of the lungs), and, echinacea root (some people are allergic or sensitive to this). Drinking plenty of water helps to dilute the mucus, making it much easier for the body to move it out! I HATE mucus! It is not only extremely uncomfortable, but is also offers a safe haven for bacteria, virus, & parasites to grow & make one sick! According to this, you may have sinusitis: "Allergies in the Nose: Sinusitis" http://www.worldallergy.org/public/allergic_diseases_center/rhinosinusitis/rhinosinusitis.php

You need to start irrigating. Remember that old rubber squeeze device used on baby's ears? Get obne and fill a glass with warm salt water...use about one tablespoon of salt. Squirt it up your nose when you shower. Do both nostrils. Use the whole cup. It will take one or 2 cups to get used to it. After that, you will actually find it easy to do. You can also use a water pic with a nasal attachement.

drink more water, use a nasal rinse, treat your allergies, use a vaporizer when you sleep, dust your home daily with a damp cloth, and see your doctor.
