You may need sinus surgery if your nose keeps getting stuffed up.

Your nose is addicted to the spray,,,You have to cold turkey QUIT the spray,,,It should be better in 2-3 days! I know from experience!!! Good luck

Looks like you have developed a dependence to the nose spray and it could even be playing tricks on you. If you want to stop using the spray, then you have to go to the doctor to see what they can do for you - it will probably be surgical. Or you can try dropping the harmful chemical spray. I would really recommend using something more gentle like Simply Saline which is what I use since my mucus membrane is damaged (nasal sprays can damage it too). It will at least make it easier to blow.

What you are experiencing with the nasal spray is called a "rebound effect". It's hard to explain to a layman, but it definitely makes your symptoms worse after a while. The only one who can really know what is wrong would be and ENT (ear, nose and throat specialist). This is his specialty. You may need your primary care doc to refer you to one. Specialists often don't just take walk-ins. The ENT will do testing to ascertain exactly what your problem is and then devise a treatment plan for you. Until you can get to the ENT I would stop all nasal sprays except a simple saline based one. This will help keep your nose moist and does not cause "rebound effect". You also need to get some Breathe Right strips. These are slim, bandaid-like strips that go over the bridge of the nose and hold the nasal passages open so you can breathe freely. My husband just started using them after years of sinus and allergy problems and they are a Godsend. There are generics out there that are identical to the name brand and less expensive. Ask you pharmacist. But please do consider an ENT. He has expertise that your primary care doc doesn't. That's why doctors specialize.
